About

Our home is our cattery. All of our cats are loved and respected members of our family.  They live with us, they sleep with us; they are raised “under foot” and not in cages.

We do breed for show quality.  Those kittens that are not up to show quality will be neutered or spayed and offered to be placed as pets.

Certain cats having optimal show attributes may be placed unaltered with carefully selected new owners as well.

We reserve the use of cages for medical isolation and for separation of queens and their newborn kittens from the other cats in our home.

Our stud males are kept in a large screened outside porch with small heated “houses” for their cold weather comfort.  All our other cats, including the intact females, are allowed to roam freely through the house, and have access to another outside screened porch via a “kitty door.”

We do not, under any circumstance, allow our cats to roam the neighborhood.

We aim to find good homes for our pets.

About us.

Our story starts in 1961 in the obstetrics suite at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY.  George, the intern was in charge; Beth, the nursing student was the fastest getting her gloves on, and therefore was able to deliver the baby.  It didn’t take long for us to realize we were meant for each other, and we were married that September.

After our training was completed we moved, with a new daughter, to Southern California, where we lived for 35 years. George practiced pediatric medicine, while Beth practiced labor and delivery nursing.

We thought of ourselves as dog people.  But many years later, in the 80’s we fell for our first kitten.  Several cat shows later we acquired our first pedigreed Abyssinian and started showing and breeding.  It took a while, but we learned the ropes, and eventually were the proud owners of Lucy, a regional winner.

Along the way we discovered Turkish Vans, and now breed and show both Abyssinians and Turkish Vans.  We love both breeds.

We came to understand and value the special intelligence of our cats, we share our home and our affection with them.

Now we are both retired and live with our cats in a home in Prescott, Arizona.  We travel to cat shows in all the Southwestern states.
