About

I had my first Abyssinian when I was growing up in Hungary. Their exotic beauty, intelligence and people oriented nature captured my heart. Years later, while living in the US my first female arrived after I had been owned by a wonderful neuter and a journey of showing ensued and soon after I started raising Abyssinians.

A few years later I moved back to Hungary, Europe along with my cats. My cats are raised as part of the family and are my children. Health, temperament, and conformation to the show standard receive priority in my breeding program. While I started out showing mainly TICA, now I mostly show CFA but occasionally TICA, as well. I believe that beauty, in cats like humans, in a large part comes from the inside. A cat that is loved, cherished, appreciated and fed a healthy diet will glow with happiness.

I started out working with the dilute Abyssinian and then I mainly worked with red and ruddy Abyssinians. I do, at the moment, have a renewed interest in working with dilutes and probably will have a small, limited dilute program. To me it is not the color that matters in an Abyssinian the most: a close to perfect example of the breed is beautiful in every color and every color has its own set of challenges that one must conquer. I do get kittens in all 4 accepted colors: ruddy, red, blue, and fawn, however, lately I have gotten a lot of  red kittens and now will be having more dilute litters as well. I hope to do breedings for ruddies in the later part of this year or early next year.

Please note that all of our pet kittens and retired adults are spayed or neutered.  I generally do not ship my kittens but prefer to transport them myself, the costs of which can be reduced if there is a show nearby. The new owner is also welcome to come and visit and pick up their new kittens. Please email us for more details if you are interested.

I may occasionally choose to work with established, reputable breeders and place a kitten for breeding /show. However, if you are such a person, and interested, please be prepared that we will have a very long talk, I must get to know you well and you must be able to provide references before this can happen. I prefer to not place kittens for breeding with people without experience in breeding and showing. I also prefer to not place whole cats with people that have no experience showing in CFA. In such cases I am happy to place a beautiful neuter or spay to show in premiership in CFA to find out if this is something they like and prepared to do and if so can established a longer term relationship via mentoring. I am not interested in selling breeding cats, in general when I choose to work with the few people I am working with, I look for longer term partnership.  I am always happy to talk to people about Abys, though, to provide information about this wonderful breed and to discuss any questions one may have related to cats and in particular to this breed.

All my cats and kittens come with health and genetic guarantees. All my cats and any incoming cats are periodically screened for FELV/FIV, we currently have one outcross who is a PK carrier, the rest of our cats are clear. Test results are of course available upon request.

All buyers please note that I place all kittens and cats with a strict contract. I have retired adults available at a small adoption fee from time to time though some of my adults stay with me for life. Please contact me for information on any upcoming young adults that will be or are available to go to their forever homes for a small adoption fee. Please visit my Current Kittens page to see my current kittens or view my post on 2008 Kittens for planned litters. Hope you will enjoy your visit. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.
